Dear Friends,
Last year (2011) we had a huge success again with the Christmas Fund. Thanks to all of your generosity we raised $2,710.00! As a result we were able to:
- Sponser a Christmas party for 200 kids at a local village in rural kenya
- Sponser a Christmas party for 100 kids at Cheryl's Children Home
- Buy clothing, school bags and shoes for over 200 Kids at a local village in rural Kenya
- Buy over $1,000.00 worth of back to school suppliers for children at Cheryl's Children Home
Once again friends, our efforts and big hearts, brought joy, raised smiles, made a difference and left a lasting impact for hundreds of children.
On a sad note, we lost Brother Samuel, the founder of Cheryl Children home, to cancer. He took in his neigbour's orphaned children and from one mud structure, went on to build a shelter for 100s of children complete with brick and motar shelters and a school from grade 1 to 8. He indeed rests in a better place and his wife Grace continues with their labor of love.
