Our Flagship campaign and indeed our motivation for creating Raised Smiles is our Annual Christmas Parties that we facilitate for hundreds of children in rural Kenya and at Cheryl's Children Home. Besides the food, our parties include practical gifts like School Uniforms, Shoes, Backpacks and Books among presents. Now in it's fifth year we hope to keep this popular event for the kids going for a long time. Your kind Donation can help make this Christmas memorable for hundreds of children in Kenya.
Cheryl's Children Home
Cheryl's Children's home is a non-profit organization based in Kenya. It has its roots in Kibera, Africa's second largest and most congested slum.Their aim of starting the home was to provide a safe haven for kids; mostly orphans from the slum who have lost parents to AIDS. Over the years we have partnered with Cheryl and assisted them with Annual Christmas Parties for the kids, Furniture and Bedding for Classrooms and Dormitories, Monetary donations for food, School Fees and Construction of Improved Sleeping Quarters. Every year we try and dedicate at least half of our funds raised to Cheryl's Children Home. Your Donation will enable us continue our partnership with Cheryl.
Education
While our main goal is to provide immediate relief to disadvantaged children, our long-term focus and goal is to shape and impact their success in the future as productive members of the society. We have donated Books to local primaries, Backpacks, School Uniforms, Classroom Furniture and School Fees. Our plan is to contribute even more in this area. Your Donation can help us raise the odds and impact the future for a few of these children.
Our Mission
Raised Smiles works to enhance and improve the quality of Childhood by providing social, nutritional, educational and shelter assistance for children in Kenya
Our aim is to provide economically and socially disadvantaged children with simple answers and memories that highlight their young lives. We partner with friends and supporters to give small treasures aimed at brightening childhoods and providing a memorable frame of reference for the children as they grow up.
Our basic solutions designed to enhance childhood includes Christmas parties for hundreds of children every year, back to school clothing, bedding, school books, story books, first pair of shoes among other "child-like" solutions.
